Long Sheath Introducers

The long sheath is the working length of the procedure. Everything the operator does happens through it, so its wall has to hold shape under torque, stay open under compression and let the catheter pass without the operator thinking about it.

Intended use

These long sheaths are intended to be inserted percutaneously into a blood vessel during an interventional operation, guiding angiographic catheter, guiding catheter, balloon catheter and other similar catheters into artery and vein.

Construction

How it is built.

Four things determine how this device behaves. All four are set on our own line.

The full process

01

Braided wall

Wire or polymer fibres are intertwined on the braiding machine to form the braided structure that gives the sheath its strength.

02

Extruded inner core

The inner core is extruded to provide structural support and flexibility along the working length.

03

Heat treated

Cut lengths are heat-treated to enhance mechanical properties and stability.

04

Coated

A protective coating or lubricant is applied to improve durability and performance in use.

Specifications

Sizes and codes are issued directly.

Size matrices, reference codes and instructions for use go to clinical and procurement teams on request, so you always receive the current revision rather than a cached page.

Let's move medicine forward

Put it in a clinician's hand.

Evaluation and sampling conversations start the same way — tell us the procedures you run and the sizes you use.
